Only one did that for me...
Friday, November 6, 2009 I listen to Christmas music starting November 1st.
I know that there are a lot of people who stopped reading this post there.
Understandable.
But here's my thing. I LOVE CHRISTMAS MUSIC! Why? Well. I'll tell you. Thanks for asking...because it's everything that is right with world and nothing that is wrong with it. For a month (or two if you are me) everywhere you go there are songs about Christ and the Atonement. They are uplifting and remind me of what is important in the world. If you are not a religious person, that's OK, there are songs about joy and family and peace and love. All great things! On a regular day, the radio waves can be full of angsty songs and vulgarity. Not acceptable during the Christmas season! Now, I don't think that the world is perfect (or that roses bloom beneath our feet...mom) but I like being reminded about the things that are most important to me. I love that everyone is OK with songs that would normally be considered cheesy or 'old'. (I love the old ones the best).I just got the album 'Christmas with the Rat Pack' :).
So...that being said, here is one of my favorite songs this season so far...says my play count on iTunes. It is by Downhere. It isn't even a Christmas song really (it's just on a Christmas album) so all of you that are holding out until December, it's still bearable. Buy the CD, it's great! I love the words so I wrote them out for you. :) It's a great reminder that there is one person that did that for me! And for you!
I hope you enjoy it!

I think this post with the accompanying song combined with our conversation on why Christmas is awesome has melted my Scroogieness a little bit.
Perfect Friday post.
Oh, and normally I would totally have quit reading (or just made fun of you) because I am soooo not that person who digs Christmas music in November but considering I just downloaded that song and have it on repeat... I have no room to talk.
