Bliss List: Susan

I'm in love with this bliss list. When I got it I was kind of surprised at the length...I thought, "I'll just post some of it." But then I got caught up in reading it and it must be posted, and read in it's entirety. Susan is incredible observant and careful. I love that a list (even the way that it's written) can tell you a lot about a person. If we were all stopped and noticed how good things like this can make us feel, I think we would all have a little more happy in us each day. Thanks for sharing Susan!

-Smell of coffee brewing.

-The aroma of sweet peas in Buschart Gardens in Victoria,BC.

-Big light purple lilac bushes in full bloom in the spring. And the aroma.

-Babies laughing.

-A big ol' genuine belly laugh from a hardened executive.

-....when someone's enormous effort ends with success....

-The smell of fresh dirt when planting in the spring.

-Plump juicy peaches picked off the tree.

-Learning more about people I love.

-A performer who is giving their all.

-Sweet inspiration or assurance from the Holy Ghost.

-Sleeping soundly and waking refreshed.

-A perfect marriage of lyrics and melody in a song.

-Warm Houston rain.

-Sitting in a plush overstuffed leather chair at the library at Rice University wearing headphones with classical music while reading something interesting.

-My grandmothers fried chicken and halupkas (from "the old country").

-My mothers roast beef and gravy.

-Fresh squeezed orange juice made for me by my husband -w/out asking for- or expecting it! :) nice

-When my husband washes my car.

-A clean organized and well-decorated home, not expensive just nice.

-Thinking of God the Father and what is He doing right now.

-Remembering Jesus and all He has done for us.

-Using my imagination to sometimes watch the movies or listen to the symphonies that exist only in my brain.

-Beating everyone at Scrabble and Boggle.

-Designing creative things.

-Writing fiction.

-Song writing and playing guitar, drums, and piano.

-Seeing Pierce Brosnan running in torrential rain in Central Park with two St Bernards.

-Going to the movies.

-Doing service if it's really needed.

-Hearing live music, especially uplifting live music.

-Seeing someone's eyes smiling- even if they are laughing at me :)

-Getting massages, pedicures and haircuts.

-Doctors who have saved my life and eyesight.

-God answering our prayers.

-The amazement of technology- flying, medicine, movies like Avatar, space travel.

-Grey cranes (the birds).

-Giraffes up close.

-Peacocks strutting around the lawns at a castle in Austria (Innsbruck).

-Walking barefoot on green grass.

-Laughing with my siblings.

-Getting together with long lost friends.

-My husband being playful.

-Lying in a warm comfy bed and doing absolutely nothing.

-Planning events that will bring people joy.

-Swarovski crystal designs.

-Strong muscles.

-When our neighbor clears our snow with his machine.

-Perfect comedic timing.

-Driving fast on a sunny clear day out in the middle of nowhere.

-Riding my 27-speed in the summer- especially down hills really fast.

-Being in the celestial room packed with my ward family.

-Learning something new.
